War, Protest & Prosperity: How the Military Created the Modern Bay Area

Airing Sunday, Sept. 24 at 10 p.m.

BC Bay Area’s Emmy-award winning documentary series, “Bay Area Revelations”, presents “War, Protest and Prosperity” in September.  The one hour special will take a look at how the Bay Area became one of the biggest war machines and the heart of the anti-war movement.
“War, Protest and Prosperity” will reveal how the military transformed the Bay Area into one of the most innovative, diverse and prosperous places on the planet.  The development, national parks, iconic views, food and even tourism in the Bay Area can all be attributed to the military.
Former Defense Secretary and CIA Director Leon Panetta is one of the many featured interviews. You'll also hear stories from a veteran who decided to stay after coming through the Bay Area during war and how a Vietnam refugee came here to become a successful CEO.
“Bay Area Revelations: War, Protest & Prosperity” premieres Sunday, September 17 at 9pm.  An encore presentation airs, Saturday September 23 at 7pm.
