BART is in recovery mode Tuesday morning after "smoldering debris" at the 24th St. Mission Station prompted major delays at San Francisco stations, according to the transportation agency.
The 24th St. Mission Station, which was temporarily closed as a result of the incident, has since reopened, according to BART.
BART is in the process of returning to normal service, but commuters should expect to see anywhere from 20 to 30 minute delays, according to the transportation agency.
While the 24th St. Mission Station was closed, BART advised commuters to "seek other means of transportation if traveling through San Francisco."
