Man Rents Out 3 Homes for Pot Grow Operations

Police confiscate almost 3,000 plants

While conducting search warrants at three separate homes in Santa Rosa rented by the same man, police said Friday they found marijuana grows totaling nearly 3,000 plants.

The three residences, two in northwest Santa Rosa and the third located in the southeast part of town, were being rented by Jeffrey Alexander Moore, according to police.

The search warrants had been issued in regards to an investigation into the sale and cultivation of marijuana.

Police said 1,223 mature plants, 2,702 clone or "starter" plants and 42 pounds of dried, processed marijuana were found between the three sites.

In addition to the marijuana, more than $63,000 in cash, a 2006 Ford F350 truck and a 2006 Chevy Corvette were seized.

Moore, 46, was arrested and booked into the Sonoma County jail and is being held on $500,000 bail.
