Traveling? Looking for a place to crash on the cheap?

Airbnb may have just the answer. Laughingsquid introduces us to the San Francisco-based company that connect people with space to share with those looking for a spot to crash.

Simply go to Airbnb's website and search for spaces available in the city you are traveling to and much like any travel site put in your credit card information and your room is booked.

The company, started by three locals, is hoping to sell users on discounted prices and a unique experience, since staying on someone's couch in a foreign land theoretically gives you a local contact.

The idea is nothing new. Airbnb has been around since 2008 and other sites, such as also connect thrifty travelers with other people's couches.

The sites also let locals with space to give make a few extra bucks by renting out their own couches.
