The Van Ness Street overhaul in San Francisco has hit a snag that could push the timeline back another six months. Old piping and buried utilities are forcing crews to actually excavate by hand.
Van Ness Street sees a ton of traffic and this is a long improvement project, which runs several miles down the spine of San Francisco and ending near Market Street. The delays are certainly an "annoyance" to some, but not expected.
