Be on the look out for MERS.
Travelers flying out of San Francisco International Airport are being told to look out for Middle East Respiratory Syndrome, or MERS, according to the San Francisco Examiner.
MERS, a "coronavirus," has been found in the United States but originated in the Middle East, with cases reported in countries including Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Kuwait.
Symptoms include fever, cough and shortness of breath. Travelers who fall ill within 14 days of a visit to the above countries or others on the Arabian Peninsula are asked to see a doctor, the newspaper reported.
