NYC Mayor: “No Chance” 9/11 Museum Will Open On Time

There is "no chance" an underground museum commemorating victims of the 9/11 attacks will open as planned by next year’s 11th anniversary of the disaster, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg said Thursday. "Work has basically stopped," he said. At issue is a fight between the National September 11 Memorial & Museum foundation and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey over who should pay millions in infrastructure costs related to the project, The Associated Press reported. The impasse comes as more than 1 million people have already flocked to the plaza since the National September 11 Memorial opened in September.
