Winter Double Whammy: First Storm Hits East Coast

Millions across the Northeast woke up to snow Saturday morning after an overnight storm, which was expected to last through the day, dropped several inches of snow in some parts, NBC News reported. The "front-end" of the storm had already delivered more than 5 inches of powder in areas of Connecticut and New Jersey, and more than 4 inches in New York City, according to Weather.com. Later Saturday into Sunday, the brunt of the storm is expected to bring between 6 to 10 inches of snow to parts of northern New England, including Providence, Rhode Island, Boston, and Portland, Maine, according to the National Weather Service. A second storm Monday is set to bring more heavy snow to northern Virginia through southern New England.
