Trump Volunteers Now Required to Sign Non-Disclosure Agreements

Some volunteers for Donald Trump’s campaign will be required to sign non-disclosure agreements before they can help the campaign, NBC News reported.

The campaign sent an email inviting supporters to volunteer at the call center. But before that could happen, they would have to first attend a briefing and then “sign your NDA,” according to the email.

Typically, non-disclosure agreements allow employers to protect specific information held by employees who are paid for that restriction. If they go against the order, they may be sued.

But that restriction doesn’t apply to volunteers. According to legal and employment experts who spoke to NBC News, enforcing an agreement against volunteers may be difficult, because they aren’t getting anything “in return” from the campaign.
