Max Muncy is staying with the A's organization.
A week after being designated for assignment to make room for Rajai Davis, Muncy was outrighted to Triple-A Nashville, the team announced on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old Muncy will also be a non-roster invitee to spring training in February.
In 51 games with the A's in 2016, Muncy hit just .186/.308/.257 with two doubles, two home runs and eight RBI.
