‘Bama Blanks Bears in Game One of WCWS
The Cal Bears fell to the Alabama Crimson Tide, 1-0, in game one of the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City on Thursday.
Cal’s Jolene Henderson pitched well, allowing only one run on seven hits, one walk and nine strikeouts in six innings, but was edged out by Alabama’s Kelsi Dunne.
Dunne went six strong and allowed just one hit.
The Bears will take on Oklahoma State on Saturday at the ASA Hall of Fame Stadium. First pitch is set for 9 a.m. PT.

It’s battle of the Bears in Houston on Friday, as Cal takes on Baylor at Reckling Park in the first game of the NCAA Houston Regional. First pitch is at 12 p.m. PT.
