The final chapter of Mac Williamson's career with the Giants might have come to a conclusion.
For the second time this year, the Giants designated the outfielder for assignment Saturday morning. The Giants made the move to create a roster spot for Mike Yastrzemski, who was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento.
Williamson struck out five times in a 5-4 loss to the Braves on Thursday. All five came with at least one runner on base. He followed up his day to forget with three more strikeouts in the Giants' 18-2 loss on Friday.
The 28-year-old was batting just .118 with one home run and 18 strikeouts through 15 games with the Giants this season. This came after Williamson once again tore it up in Triple-A, batting .378 with nine home runs in 23 games for the River Cats.

After a rough spring training, the Giants DFA'd Williamson before Opening Day. He made it through waivers and was soon back in Sacramento. Since Williamson was outrighted once before, he can elect to become a free agent and sign with another team.

There's a chance that Williamson finds his way back to Sacramento, but it very well looks like his time with the Giants organization is a thing of the past.
