Giants Legend and Hall of Famer Willie McCovey's Home Sells for $4.2 Million

Willie McCovey was a Bay Area baseball legend. So much so, that when his house sells, we hear about it.

His longtime home in Woodside, CA, was recently sold for a cool $4.2 million -- $250,000 more than the asking price.

The 3,810 square-foot house was built in 1976 and sits on more than an acre of land, according to the Los Angeles Times

"It features high ceilings, exposed beams and picture windows that bring city views inside. A step-down living room with a marble fireplace, a dining room, a billiard's room, three bedrooms, and 3.5 bathrooms are among the living spaces." It also possesses a swimming pool and spa right below a circular patio.

According to records, McCovey purchased the home in the 1970s for $38,500.

Talk about amazing return on investment.
