After the Raiders' last-second 23-21 win over the Cardinals, Oakland no longer owns the No. 1 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Quarterback Derek Carr hopes that stays true going forward.
At 2-8, Carr has one goal for the Raiders' final six games of the season: Cause craziness in the draft.
"I want to mess up the draft," Carr said Wednesday to reporters. "I don't want the first pick. I want to win and have people be mad at me for that."

The No. 1 pick now belongs to another Bay Area team, the 49ers. Though the Raiders, 49ers and Cardinals all have a 2-8 record, the first tiebreaker, weakest strength of schedule, falls to San Francisco. The next tiebreaker would be a coin flip, which gave John Lynch and co. the No. 9 pick instead of the Silver and Black last year at NFL Scouting Combine.
While Carr is under contract through 2022, the team could cut him with a cap hit of $7.5 million after this season. If they go that route, the front office could turn to future and draft Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert, who is considered the top player at the position in next year's draft.
