Raiders Given Hudson, Cooper, Irvin Green Light Versus Eagles

PHILADELPHIA – Raiders center Rodney Hudson played through significant pain last week. He didn't miss a snap against the Dallas Cowboys while dealing with kidney stones.

The Pro Bowler was sidelined most of the week but practiced Saturday with illness and an ankle injury, but was formally given the green light to play a Monday night's game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Hudson's playing despite having nothing to play for. The Raiders were formally eliminated from playoff contention on Sunday afternoon, but three key players will play nonetheless.

Hudson, receiver Amari Cooper and edge rusher Bruce Irvin are all active for this contest, where the Eagles can clinch home field advantage in the NFC playoffs.

Cooper recovered from an ankle sprain, and Irvin was cleared to play after spending the week in NFL's concussion protocol.

Irvin was limited in practice this week, but there was never real doubt in his playing status.

Cornerback David Amerson will miss his eighth straight game with a foot injury that has kept him out far longer than the team anticipated.

In addition to Amerson, quarterback Connor Cook, defensive linemen Mario Edwards and Treyvon Hester, offensive linemen Ian Silberman and Jylan Ware and receiver Isaac Whitney are also inactive.
