Giants Vs. Padres Lineups: Tyler Beede Starts in Matchup of NL West's Worst

Coming off the series against the Dodgers, the Giants will try their luck against another NL West opponent when they begin a two-game series with the Padres at Oracle Park on Tuesday night.

San Francisco is coming off back-to-back losses to Los Angeles, dropping to a season-worst 12 games below .500. The Giants have lost four of their last five games and been outscored 23-7 over that span, with their only win being a 2-1 victory over the Dodgers in the series opener. They'll try to right the ship against the Padres, who have won both of the series the two teams have played so far this season.

Tyler Beede (0-2, 8.15 ERA) will take the mound for San Francisco, still looking for his first career major league victory. He's coming off a loss to the Mets in which he gave up five earned runs in five innings, but received exactly zero run support.

Beede will be opposed by right-hander Chris Paddack (4-4, 2.97 ERA), who has stumbled a bit as of late after a very strong start to the season. He held the Giants to two hits in five innings in a 3-1 win over San Francisco back on March 31.

Brandon Belt will miss his second-straight game for the Giants with neck tightness. Pablo Sandoval will fill in for him at first base and bat fourth.
