Madison Bumgarner returned home, but was once again hampered by two home runs by the Padres in a 5-2 loss on Thursday night.
Bumgarner allowed four earned runs, all off the two homers, over 6 1/3 innings pitched while striking out five.
The Giants are now 37-60 on the season.
