The Warriors haven't officially ruled Kevin Durant out for Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals against the Blazers.
But the reigning two-time NBA Finals MVP will not be uniform (right calf strain) when Golden State takes the floor on Thursday night, league sources told Yahoo's Chris Haynes.
This news was widely expected, especially considering head coach Steve Kerr told reporters after practice on Monday that "everyone needs to slow down a little bit on the Kevin stuff. He hasn't even stepped on the floor yet."
Without KD in Game 1, the Warriors defeated Portland 116-94 behind 36 points and seven assists from Steph Curry.
Golden State will provide an official update on Durant's status at some point on Thursday.
Games 3 and 4 are scheduled for Saturday and Monday at Moda Center in Portland, with Game 5 at Oracle Arena slated for next Wednesday.
