Derek Carr Off Raiders Injury Report, Could Play vs. Dolphins Saturday

Carr off Raiders injury report, could play vs. Dolphins originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea

It appears Raiders quarterback Derek Carr is good to go after leaving the 30-27 overtime loss to the Los Angeles Chargers last Thursday night with a groin injury.

He was not listed on the team’s injury report Thursday and could start against the Miami Dolphins on Saturday. Head coach Jon Gruden wouldn't reveal whether Carr or Marcus Mariota would be the starter.

Carr left the Chargers game grabbing his groin area after he ran out of bounds on a third-and-goal. Marcus Mariota took over and was rather successful.

He accumulated 226 passing and 88 rushing yards with a touchdown and a 60.8 passing percentage and an 83.3 passer rating. His 35-yard touchdown pass to Darren Waller was a chef’s kiss.

The Dolphins will be an interesting matchup … for Gruden.

He will go face-to-face with running back/wide receiver Lynn Bowden Jr. -- the rookie the Raiders drafted in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Gruden admitted he’s happy for Bowden’s recent success with the Dolphins, but the story will be on everyone’s minds.
