Giants fans feared that Madison Bumgarner's start on July 23 would be his final start at Oracle Park in Orange and Black.
But the July 31 trade deadline came and went without Bumgarner being dealt. On Thursday, the 2014 World Series MVP will take the mound in San Francisco for the first time since the deadline passed. You can expect Bumgarner will get a nice ovation from the crowd.
While Bumgarner will hear the cheers, Bryce Harper likely will be showered with boos from the Giants fans after he spurned San Francisco for Philadelphia this past offseason.
Harper, who loves coming to San Francisco, makes his first visit to the Bay Area since signing a 13-year, $330 million contract with the Phillies.
