The Sharks took care of business on the ice Tuesday, and S.J. Sharkie did the same on Twitter.
The target: Gritty, the Flyers' new yet quickly beloved mascot, who was feeling himself a little too much before Tuesday night's game in Philadelphia.
As the Sharks finished their 8-2 rout of the Flyers, S.J. Sharkie had some words for Gritty. You see, Gritty had visited a local aquarium and decided to talk trash, angrily clearing a rack of plush sharks in the gift shop and posting a video of him trying to catch an actual shark with fishing line.
Now, it was S.J. Sharkie's turn to teach the new kid in town a lesson. And he took some big swings, first at Gritty's very familiar-looking arena entrance, then on the staying power of his rivals' boasts.
And in other @NHLonNBCSports news. I have done it 10-15 times a year for the last 26 years. And will again this year. :) #CopyCat https://t.co/fH9IC3QvxZ— #SJSharkie (@sjsharkie) October 10, 2018

At this pace, gritty will be lucky enough to be able to see 328 goals scored in front of him at home this season.— #SJSharkie (@sjsharkie) October 10, 2018
At this point, you might be shouting, "That man has a family!" But S.J. Sharkie, a veteran of the rough-and-tumble hockey mascot game, wasn't done with Gritty yet.
Now I know at least 8 reasons why he might be triggered tonight. pic.twitter.com/nkr6BleEe5— #SJSharkie (@sjsharkie) October 10, 2018
Hey gritty. If you want to see and be the shark, I'm sure I can come in and teach you and your team a thing or 8....

So far, silence from Gritty. Which might be the smartest thing he's done the last two days.
