The two-time All-Star will start for the National League, MLB announced on Monday morning.

Cueto is 13-1 with a 2.47 ERA over 18 starts.

He leads the NL in complete games (four) and innings pitched (131.1)

His battery mate with the Giants, Buster Posey, is also a starter.

“It would be big,” Cueto said through interpreter Erwin Higueros on Wednesday when asked about starting the All-Star Game. “It would mean a lot. It would be the first time that I’m pitching in an All-Star Game and I want to pitch.”

The Giants signed Cueto to a six-year, $130 million deal in December.
