Watch Joe Pavelski, Brent Burns' Sons Score Goal at NHL All-Star Skills Event

SAN JOSE -- At Thursday's NHL All-Star media day, NBC Sports California asked Joe Pavelski if his son would participate in the Skills Competition the following night.

He did, and even he added a little flair to the proceedings.

Nathan Pavelski and Sharks defenseman Brent Burns' son, Jagger, took the ice with the Western Conference teams at SAP Center and even participated in demonstrating one of the events.

A few of the NHL's mascots took the ice to demonstrate the Save Streak challenge. Just as the demo was wrapping up, the Sharks stars' sons skated to center ice, then toward the goal to score a perfect breakaway marker on Maple Leafs mascot Carlton the Bear. Young Pavelski dropped to one knee to celebrate.

Like father, like son.
