Newsom's Fillmore Baby to Take Time Off

PlumpJack Cafe to reevaluate business

Times like these are not times for white-tablecloth restaurants, and it seems that PlumpJack Cafe is going to reevaluate things.

The local, long-running flagship of the PlumpJack Group has had its share of upheaval recently (three chefs last year), ever since James Syhabout left with his 3.5 stars. The restaurant was founded by Mayor Gavin Newsom.

Thus, it shouldn't come as a huge shocker that the Fillmore spot will be going on hiatus later this month.

We expect to have more details later this week, but for now, the restaurant has confirmed that they will indeed be closing on the 28th in order to remodel and "reconcept" the operation. More info on the new concept as it comes in, naturally.
