The parcel was sold to the TNDC and Citizens Housing by Bank of America in 2000 for a bargain price of just over $10 million.
The new owners subsequently split off the part north of Jessie, to be turned into high-rise condos by Crescent Heights— or, as fate would have it, a rubble-strewn hole. Anyway, we're talking 210 studio apartments just across from The Fin. But we'll miss that parking lot, won't we?
