    NEWSLETTERS

Adam Scott's long, torturous progression from "that guy" to under-appreciated talent to fully employed actor to male lead is finally complete.

Scott has landed the starring role in "A.C.O.D." (adult children of divorce), reported Deadline. Scott will play a 30-something son of a divorce couple who's been forced to be the grown-up in the family, and must bring everyone together for his little brother's surprise wedding. Yeah, the title blows, but there's plenty of time to change it.

The film, which was co-written by Stuart Zicherman and Ben Karlin, the latter one of the creators of "The Colbert Report," will start shooting in the spring as Scott's "Parks & Rec" schedule allows.

Scott's been lurking in the fringes for years, with minor roles in films like "The Aviator", "The Great BUck Howard" and "Knocked Up." In 2008 people began to learn his name after his fantastic turn as Will Ferrell insufferable brother in "Step Brothers."

Scott can next be seen Aug. 26 in "Our Idiot Brother." Now if someone would please cast him a film adaptation of "Reid Flemming: World's Toughest Milkman."
