Google Village at SXSW 2012.
Google Senior Vice President Vic Gundotra didn't hang around long at SXSW, but his company rallied on, having one of the biggest physical presences at the tech and music fest this year.
Each bar was decorated in a different color. At night the red, blue, green and yellow buildings could be easily spotted.
The Google Village threw open-bar happy hours on Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m and then had quite a spread in the morning for complimentary breakfast (including free bloody marys) to help attendees recover from their happy hour generosity.
During the day Google held quickly filled informational sessions at the bars.
Giant Android robots could be found around one of the houses, and huge Google Map pins helped point out where visitors were as well.
One bar even had pedal-powered blenders, on stationary bicycles that people could ride to mix their drinks.
