Analysts: Optimism in Future Job Market

The job market continues to be stuck in a rut, but at least two local analysts believe that a positive turn could be right around the corner.

"What we hope to see, what we plan to see is that 2012 is strong enough that you begin to see the jobs getting created in anticipation," said John Blank, Deputy Chief Economist with the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation's Kyser Center for Economic Research.

Blank believes that the anticipation  of economic growth will allow businesses to invest more in labor than during the recession.

His belief is echoed by Wells Fargo's Executive VP & Regional President for the West Coast, Lisa Stevens.

Stevens said Wells Fargo currently has more than 3,000 opens in California and believes those jobs speak to a larger trend in the labor market.
