Lamar Odom was transported by medical helicopter to Los Angeles Monday night.
E! News has learned that the former NBA star has been discharged from Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, where he has been receiving medical treatment after being found unconscious at a Nevada brothel a week ago.
Odom's transfer to L.A. was pending his condition remaining stable, E! reported Monday. Doctors were in the early stages of working out the logistics of how the athlete would be transported to SoCal, because Odom's stature previously prohibited him from being airlifted in a helicopter.
The former Laker's health is improving day to day, but the 35-year-old celeb is going to need "a lot" of rehab in the coming months, a source told E!
Odom was found in extremely critical condition at the Love Ranch brothel in the rural community of Crystal, Nevada, on Oct. 13 and was hospitalized in Las Vegas. He regained consciousness and communicated for the first time Friday.
Odom's estranged wife Khloé Kardashian has remained at his side since he was admitted to hospital last week, and a source told E! News, "She goes everywhere with him. If Lamar leaves the room for testing, she follows."
