Watch Leonardo DiCaprio's Latest Prank on Jonah Hill

Operation Scare Jonah goes down as a complete success

Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill have a strong friendship, from appearing together on "Saturday Night Live" or stealing scenes on "The Wolf of Wall Street," remaining close friends to this day.

But perhaps their friendship really comes alive away from any stage. Maybe it happens on the streets of New York City.

In new video obtained by E! News, cameras caught DiCaprio walking in the Big Apple as he searched for his close friend. As soon as he laid eyes on Hill, however, the Oscar winner didn't just shout his name or give him a friendly wave. No, it was apparently time for a prank.

As Hill listened to music in his headphones, DiCaprio pulled out his phone and ran straight towards his close friend. What came next was one shocked (and hilarious) reaction.

For those wondering why Hill looked so scared, perhaps it's simply because he didn't expect a grown man to run up to his face. Or maybe it goes back to those scary "Wolf of Wall Street" scenes.

"Any time you do any sort of physical scene with Leonardo DiCaprio, he doesn't understand that it's acting and he beats the living crap out of you for six months," Hill joked at a Variety Screening Series Q&A in 2014.

"Since he's bigger than me, I couldn't physically beat him up back so I had to figure out a way to get back at him with my brain," he continued, referring to pranks he pulled on set.

Whatever the case may be, Operation Scare Jonah still goes down as a complete success.
