Murder Plot Against Wife Leads to Christian Rocker's Arrest

As I Lay Dying lead singer is in jail in serious charges.

The lead singer of a Christian-tinged metalcore band, As I Lay Dying, is now laying down in jail, after allegedly hiring an undercover detective to kill his estranged wife, according to reports.

Tim Lambesis, 32, was arrested Tuesday in Southern California while shopping, according to reports. He's been charged with three federal crimes, including "solicitation to commit murder."

The band -- which, according to the As I Lay Dying official Web page, is comprised of "five Christians" -- was scheduled to go on tour later this month.

No further details were given on the alleged crime.
