For sale: Property in SoMa. Walking distance to Union Square, Museum of Modern Art. More than 600 rooms and bathrooms.
The Westin San Francisco is apparently up for grabs according to the San Francisco Chronicle. The hotel is about to be foreclosed and sold off. News hit after a notice of public sale was released.
The Wall Street Journal says the hotel is jointly owned by a Goldman Sachs real estate firm and a Dallas investment firm.
The companies apparently racked up millions of dollars in debt after buying the property in 2006 for $178 million.
