3.3 Quake Rattles East Bay

While not large earthquakes the Bay Area experienced 3 Small Quakes On Different Faults Tonight: Oakland 3.3 @ 4:47 pm , Santa Cruz 2.2 @ 5:07 pm & Morgan Hill 2.0 @ 5:59 pm. All three shakers also happening over just a one hour time span. September 29th; 7:32 PM Chief Meteorologist Jeff Ranieri

The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting that an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.3 struck the East Bay this afternoon.
The quake shook an area near Oakland at 4:47 p.m., according to the USGS, and had a depth of 9.5 miles.
Its epicenter was located two miles southeast of Oakland and three miles east-northeast of Alameda, according to the USGS.
