A Little League team from the South Bay on Sunday lost its bid to compete in the Little League World Series.
The Cambrian Park Little League all-stars were defeated 1-0 by the Arizona-based Chandler National North Little League at the Western Regionals in San Bernadino.
The San Jose team was undefeated — winning 14 straight games — at the Division 2 Northern California championship last month, earning a spot at the regionals.
Teams from Southern California, Hawaii, Nevada, Utah and Arizona are also slated to compete for a chance to advance to the 68th annual Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa.
Local fans watched a live broadcast of the Cambrian Park all-stars' game at the Grill Em Steak House and Sports Bar in Campbell.
