Arrest Made in Sunnyvale Homicide

The Sunnyvale Police Department announced the arrest of a suspect in the high profile homicide case in the South Bay city.

Detectives announced Monday they arrested Feliciano Valencia-Santiago, 47, of Santa Clara in the death of Maria Esther Orozco, 46, of San Jose.

Orozco's body was found stuffed in a trash bag and dumped along a Sunnyvale street last weekend.

Sunnyvale police said they were able to identify Orozco through dental records. The coroner listed the cause of death as trauma to the head.

Police said that Orozco was killed in a burned out home on the 800 block of Revere Drive and then taken to a second location. They arrested Valencia Santiago on Friday while he was riding his bike  in Santa Clara. He was booked into jail for homicide. Police did not say what the motive was in the case.
