Police want to know who shot a bullet into the home of a 31-year-old Antioch woman who was with her young son in a bedroom Monday night.

The woman will live, police said, and the child was not injured - but still the event has the family and police on edge.

The shooting was reported around 6:05 p.m. near the intersection of Sycamore Drive and Manzanita Way, according to a police news release. Witnesses told arriving officers that a man had been standing in the street on Manzanita Way, shooting at a pickup truck as it drove past him.

Police did not report any arrests related to the shooting.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call 925-779-6939. Tips can also be texted to 274637 (CRIMES) using the keyword ANTIOCH.
