Missing Child Found in San Jose

NBC Bay Area

San Jose police searched for a missing child Tuesday evening.  Five hours after they started the search, they found the 10-year-old boy at a grocery store.

Mohamad Liban was reported missing at 3 p.m. near the 800 block of Wren Drive near his school Camoas Elementary, according to police.

School got out early Tuesday, but police said because of some confusion between his parents and the school staff the boy went missing.

Liban is from Somalia and has only lived in San Jose for three months.

He speaks little English.

Details on how the boy got to the supermarket were not immediately known. The good news is that he was found and appears to be OK.
