Emergency crews responded to a hazardous materials incident Wednesday morning at biotechnology company Genentech in South San Francisco.
Firefighters said they responded to a small hazmat spill at the biotechnology company at 11:15 a.m. When crews arrived, Genentech's hazmat team had the spill already cleaned up.
It was not immediately known what the chemical was.
One person who were around the spill was transported to a hospital as a precaution, authorities said.
