A Santa Clara County sheriff's deputy escaped serious injury when his motorcycle tangled with a pickup on Monday morning at De Anza Boulevard and Interstate 280 in Cupertino.
The deputy was treated at the scene after the accident about 7:15 a.m. and walked himself to an ambulance.
The pickup driver was injured.
