Escaped Mental Patient Found in Vallejo

A patient who disappeared from the grounds of Napa State Hospital on Wednesday afternoon was found in Vallejo at about 5 p.m. Friday and has been returned to the hospital.

Abraham Seri, 24, of San Francisco, was among a group of patients being transferred from one part of the facility to another when he jumped a fence at about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. He was last seen running  toward a 7-Eleven on Imola Avenue, Moore said.

He was being housed in an unsecured unit of the hospital and was not under criminal confinement, Moore said.

After his return, the hospital planned to keep him in a secure area until he can be evaluated by the Solano County Department of Mental Health, hospital spokeswoman Deborah Moore said.
