San Jose firefighters put out a two-alarm blaze Thursday morning, rescuing five adults and five children, including extricating two people off the balcony.
Fire officials said the call came in at 7:30 a.m. in the 3800 block of Seven Trees Boulevard, which is an apartment building. The fire began in a first-floor bedroom. One firefighter was injured with minor injuries, officials said.
Arson investigators were called in to determine the cause.
