Brush Fire Breaks Out in South San Jose

Firefighters in South San Jose battled a fire that broke out around 1:00 p.m. Sunday in a field near the intersection of Capitol and Quimby Avenues.

They did manage to quickly knock it down. Firefighters said they do not know how much grass burned because it is at the same place where another fire broke out recently.

No one was hurt and the cause of the fire is under investigation--it is likely considered suspicious simply because there was another fire there so recently.
