Jet Blue Passenger Accused of Making Threats Aboard Flight, Arrested on Suspicion of Public Intoxication

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Police have arrested a man on suspicion of public intoxication after he allegedly made threats aboard a Jet Blue flight from Long Beach to San Francisco.

Jet Blue spokeswoman Jenny Dervin says a passenger notified a flight attendant Saturday evening that another passenger was making threatening comments. The flight crew radioed San Francisco International Airport, and officers there boarded the plane when it reached the gate.

SFO airport police spokeswoman Nancie Parker said officers searched the plane and the man's luggage and determined there was no credible threat. He was escorted off the plane and booked into San Mateo County jail.

Parker said Sunday she didn't have immediate information on the suspect's name.

A passenger who videotaped the incident told KGO-TV the suspect screamed ``this plane is gonna go down.''
