John Woods, 19, of San Francisco faces charges of robbery and conspiracy, according to police

Both were in custody with the Sheriff's Department.

Police said the two robbed a reporter identified by KRON as Jeff Bush Friday night at 8 p.m. in a high-crime neighborhood of the city.

During the attempted robbery, a security guard who was working for the station fired his gun. No one on the news crew was injured in the robbery or shooting, Sgt. Danielle Newman told Bay City News.

KRON anchor Pam Moore announced on the 11 p.m. news that the robbery happened while Bush was working in the city Friday night. She said Bush gave the robbers want they wanted and took cover.
