Sunnyvale police arrested a man on suspicion of sexual assault last week, according to the city's Department of Public Safety.
The assault occurred about 4 p.m. Aug. 4 at Sunnyvale and Evelyn avenues, where the victim was stopped at a crosswalk, waiting to cross the street. When the suspect grabbed her and assaulted her, she screamed, and a bystander took the suspect to the ground until officers arrived, police said.
The suspect, 34-year-old Huylan Nguyen, was booked into Santa Clara County Jail, and the victim was not physically harmed, police said.
