    A motorcyclist died in a collision with a big-rig in San Jose this morning.

    A motorcyclist died in a collision with a big-rig in San Jose Monday morning, police and fire officials said.

    The crash was reported at 6:53 a.m. near Berryessa Road and Commercial Street, just east of Highway 101.

    The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

    The intersection was closed for hours while police investigated.

    The Police Department's traffic investigations unit responded to determine the cause of the crash, police said, and expected to remain on the scene until at least noon.
