New Reality Show: Speculators Flip Bay Area Foreclosures

The market is hot. So it's time for a reality TV show.

Nationwide television viewers will be able to see who can "Flip it to Win it" when the Bay Area real estate-based reality show hits airwaves, according to the San Francisco Business Times.

In the show, local speculators will buy foreclosed homes at auction, "then renovate and sell them for a profit," the newspaper reported.

Real-life Bay Area real estate investor Beau Eckstein is one of the competitors on the show. He notes that the market and the area are so hot, they're "blowing up," especially for homes with "open floor plans,"  a "great" room, "and outdoor living space."

Out-sized personalities make for some big-time competition, he said, with high stakes on the line.

"It's a dog eat dog world out there," he told the newspaper. "I feel like I'm back in 2005."
