One Dead, Six Injured in South Bay Crash

 One person is dead and six others are recovering after a violent crash in the South Bay.

 
Police say the accident was reported about 11:20 p.m. on Friday on Blossom Hill Road near Highway 85, when a pickup driver allegedly rear-ended another car, lost control and smashed into another car.
 
The driver was ejected from the truck and died, police said. Six people in two other cars were hospitalized.
 
Police say it appeared as though the truck driver was speeding.
