Police: Transient Kills Parents in Aptos

A 39-year old man is accused of killing his elderly parents.

An Aptos couple, both senior citizens, were found dead in their home over the weekend, and the suspect is their son, a local transient, according to reports.

Santa Cruz County sheriff's deputies responded to reports of a family disturbance at 163 Ridgeview Drive in the beach town, according to reports.

There, they found the bodies of Joseph Henderon, 71, and Edith Henderson, 68.

Deputies received information that the couple's son, James Henderson, 39, had hit his father with a car and then "attacked" his mother, according to police reports.

He was found at a nearby property and arrested following a three-hour manhunt, accordng to the Santa Cruz Sentinel.
