Riley Curry “First Lady of Alameda County” Eats Grapes

Normally, it's not news when a child eats grapes.

But anything Riley Curry does defies logic these days, and when the 2-year-old Warriors toddler ate some grapes from aboard the double decker bus she was on during the parade in Oakland on Friday, people squealed in delight.

In fact, Alameda County Supervisor Scott Haggerty called Riley the "first lady of Alameda County."

Yes, Steph and Ayesha Curry's precocious daughter ate a handful of grapes during the parade, earning a headline from this news organization.

But in comparison to her normal boisterous antics during post-game news conferences, the toddler didn't seemed phased by the thousands who had swarmed the city to watch her dad and his team bask in the NBA glory. She ate the grapes calmly, and seem almost subdued for much of the parade and ceremony. During the ceremony, when Warriors co-owner Peter Guber was speaking, she was caught tapping on a smart phone, pouting a little bit, on her dad's lap.

Maybe the parade conflicted with her nap time.

A replay of Friday's victory parade and rally can be viewed on NBC Bay Area's Warriors page.
